Job Summary: The Business Consultant II assists with client and business development and business consulting under minimal supervision. Reviews client feedback. Develops quality assessments, workshops, and business outreach events. Provides guidance and trains entry-level business consultants.
Additional Department Summary: Assesses customer needs and responds in a variety of ways to create effective solutions for the client to create economic impact. Works with student teams for client research and service delivery. Makes direct visits to client companies and resource network partners and assists in conducting training programs and outreach for the SBDC Network.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of business consulting experience; OR master's degree and some business consulting experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of small business planning and operations.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience must be in small business development or related industry.
