The UREC Lifeguards ensure the safety of participants by surveilling pool activities and enforcing all University Recreation policies, rules, and regulations. Work to prevent and respond effectively to emergencies as needed. Work at multiple facilities, including the Aquatic Center, Student Recreation Center, and Outdoor Pool Complex. This position is a critical member of the facility Emergency Action Plan.
Graduate Assistant - Dean of Students - 529794
The Graduate Assistant in the Dean of Students office supports the implementation of student-centered initiatives that advance student engagement, success, and well-being. This role provides professional experience in student life functional areas, including strategic communications, student support services, program development, and administrative operations. The Graduate Assistant will collaborate across units within the Dean of Students office to enhance the student experience and support institutional priorities.

The Research Assistant performs administrative duties at the front desk for the TIDELab.
Graduate Student Assistant - CCSS Learning Commons - 529806
The Graduate Student Assistant (GSA) for the Learning Commons Supplemental Instruction Program (SI) oversees SI operations for the Learning Commons or at satellite location(s). Manages student employees and data, and maintains visit records. Assists and trains SI Leaders on CCSS-Learning Commons SI policies, procedures, and operations. Organizes and updates Learning Commons SI resource materials. Researches and develops SI Leader training methods. Offers suggestions for effective SI training methods. Assists with class visits, browsing fairs, and campus events to increase student awareness of services. Works with the CCSS staff to develop outreach events and ideas. Coordinates efforts with campus partners to organize and promote services at satellite SI locations. Supports evaluation efforts and offers ideas for improving evaluation tools. Provides constructive feedback to SI Leaders after observing session(s).
Marketing Student Assistant - Fall 2026 - Dining Services - 529737
The Marketing Student Assistant for Dining Services supports yearly marketing efforts. This role assists with social media, research, tabling, promotional campaigns, student engagement, and other department initiatives. Educates students and families about meal plan options, distributes promotional materials, answers questions, and represents Dining Services in a friendly and professional manner.
Office/Inventory Assistant - Dining Services - 529738
The Student Office/Inventory Assistant provides general administrative and operational support for Dining Services. This position assists with office functions, customer service, basic computer tasks, records management, and field support across multiple campus dining locations.
Facility Operations Associate - Fall 2026 - UREC - 529682
UREC Facility Operations Associates provide administrative and customer service support for all University Recreation facilities as part of the Facility Operations team. Responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, monitoring weight room/cardio areas, surveying program areas for member safety, member check-in, equipment checkout, and problem solving.
Class Checker - Athletic Student Services (BBAC) - 529736
The Class Checker works closely with BBAC academic program advisors, under the supervision of the Assistant Athletics Director of Athletic Academic Programs, to assist in tracking student class attendance. Additional duties include special projects assigned requiring data collection and reporting.
Student Assistant - Library Access Services - University Libraries - 529716
The Student Assistant for Library Access Services assists patrons in finding library materials. Checks materials in/out  including media equipment and processes returned materials. Shelves, organizes, and maintains the order of library materials. Performs hourly walkthroughs of the building, and provides excellent customer service to patrons in person and on the phone at Library service desks.
Access Services Graduate Student Night Assistant - University Libraries - 529685
The Graduate Student Night Assistant for Access Services assists with library closing duties during the hours of Thursday 10:00pm to 2:00am, Friday 3:00pm to 7:00pm, Saturday 2:00pm to 6:00pm; up to 20 hours a week between Bruno, Gorgas, and Rodgers Libraries. Secures the library buildings at closing. Confirms that all student assistants are on duty. Assists with patrons at all library service desks and is the point person for any emergency situations with UAPD or UA facilities personnel in the absence of the Night Operations Manager.
Web Photography Student Assistant - BCAS - Fall 2026 - 529690
The Web Photography Student Assistant supports the Office of E-Tech with capturing photos and occasional video of people, places, and events for use in projects, primarily the Barefield College of Arts and Sciences website.
Tutor - Applied Tutoring, LLC - 529352
Applied Tutoring, LLC is seeking a Tutor for 1-on-1 in-person on campus sessions (or rarely via Zoom). Possibly tutors small groups on campus in UA facilities or sorority/fraternity houses.
Student Outreach Intern - Summer 2026 - National Alumni Association - 529103
The Summer Intern for the National Alumni Association at The University of Alabama, supports the outreach and information table during Summer Orientation for incoming students. This role involves learning presentation skills from staff, engaging with students, parents, and returning alumni while promoting membership to the Future Alumni Association (students) and National Alumni Association (parents).
Graduate Student Assistant - Student Financial Aid and Scholarships - 529033
The Graduate Student Assistant for Student Employment Services (SES) provides administrative and customer service support to students, parents, and employers regarding on- and off-campus employment opportunities. This position serves as a front-line resource by responding to inquiries through email, telephone, and in-person interactions. The Graduate Student Assistant also supports SES staff with departmental initiatives, outreach efforts, and special projects that promote student employment.
Student Caller - Summer 2026 - National Alumni Association - 528912
The Student Caller calls and speaks with alumni, parents and friends of the institution to raise funds for the National ALumni Associations and the Univeristy of Albama.
