| The Construction Project Manager III (PM III) for Planning, Design & Construction (PD&C) acts as the Owner’s Representative for Major Projects. This role is responsible for managing planning, designing, and construction of new buildings and/or additions and renovations of UF buildings. To do so, this role will work with the Office of the University Architect to determine building site locations which conform with the master plan; develop the project program; advertisement for selections of professionals, construction managers, and commissioning agents; oversee contract negotiations; and present to committees and stakeholders.
This position is responsible for the project to satisfy project goals; create and manage detailed project budgets; create and manage project schedules; review and comment on design documents; maintain accurate project records and coordinate with stakeholders. Responsibilities also include developing reports, coordinating with review agencies, construction site visits and working with campus partners to create purchase orders to then review and approve invoices / pay applications.
Another aspect is for this role to mentor others within PDC; provide input on processes, standards and forms; and give input on office goals.
This position expects the Project Manager III to be able to navigate complex projects, maintain rigorous oversight, and keep everyone aligned toward successful project delivery. |
