This position is in the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering (HWCOE) and will provide critical administrative support for the Engineering Leadership Institute (ELI). The incumbent is expected to directly support the ELI Director and Associate Director in responsibilities related to scheduling meetings and coordinating calendars, course scheduling support, internal and external communications, and creating and maintaining up-to-date office policies and standard operating procedures. The incumbent works closely with ELI leadership and UF Advancement in planning events hosted by the Institute. The person will provide professional interaction with and hospitality to diverse internal and external stakeholders, including prospective and current parents and students, faculty, staff, administrators, and employers. As such, the incumbent works comfortably as a member of a team. The individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and must possess excellent administrative and clerical skills. The incumbent must manage an array of different responsibilities and, thus, must prioritize their work flow, be proactive with assignments, be detail-oriented, and take ownership of their responsibilities. The incumbent coordinates efforts with the Engineering Innovation Institute’s (EII’s) administrative assistant to ensure efficiency of operations and a collaborative spirit between the two institutes. As a representative of the UF and HWCOE communities and the “face” of ELI to guests, the incumbent must maintain a professional, outgoing, and helpful attitude. The incumbent is expected to support the overall mission of ELI, embodying at all times a focus on integrity and character, as expected of all ELI personnel and students. |
