| The Director, Digital Compliance and Accessibility (Director) is a leadership role responsible for the independent oversight and management of the University of Florida’s (university) enterprise-wide Digital Accessibility Compliance Program. This position serves as the university’s designated compliance official for digital accessibility and ensures institutional compliance with applicable federal and state requirements, including ADA, Section 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and WCAG standards.
Reporting to the Senior Compliance Director/ADA/504 Coordinator (Senior Director), the Director provides day-to-day program leadership, supervises compliance staff, and is responsible for establishing and scaling a new Digital Accessibility Compliance function. In collaboration with the Senior Director, the Director develops program strategy, governance structures, policies, and operational processes to support accessibility and compliance across web, digital platforms, and information and communication technologies (ICT).
The Director also serves as a key advisor to senior leadership and provides consultative support across the institution, including conducting individual and group consultations, delivering training, guiding departments in developing Digital ADA Accessibility Compliance Plans, and supporting procurement-related accessibility and compliance reviews. The Director works collaboratively with UFIT, procurement, legal, academic and administrative units to promote a culture of compliance, accessibility, accountability, and continuous improvement. |
