Responsibilities include: Advise students on course selection, requirements for degree completion, and preparing for post-college goals and career plans; Manage student registration, enrollment, and petitions; Develop and implement new advising practices and tools; Recruit for PLS at UF, State College transfer events, industry events, and additional appropriate venues both on and off campus; Monitor and track course offerings across the network of PLS core departments and affiliates; Work with the PLS Steering Committee to assess trends in student success and prepare program reports and collateral materials; Manage, securely maintain, and communicate data and information for effective operation of the program; Conduct outreach efforts for high visibility of the program to a variety of audiences; Assist with department internship and scholarship programs; Plan and/or support recruitment and retention events for student engagement; Advise students across all statewide program locations, including Gainesville, West Florida Research and Education Center (WFREC), Mid-Florida Research and Education Center (MREC), and the Ft. Lauderdale Research and Education Center (FLREC). |
