Job Description:

The University of Florida’s Artificial Intelligence Academic Initiative Center (referred to as the AI2 Center) is seeking a student assistant to manage website updates, web page designs, and social media postings for the fall/spring 2025-26 academic year. Student must be able to work 12 hours per week onsite on the UF campus in the AI2 Center, located at Innovation Square, SW Second Street. Scheduling will be at the discretion of the student and supervisor. The position will report to the associate director of communications and marketing for the AI2 Center.

Candidate must have strong experience and proficiency in managing web content via Terminal 4, Mercury Theme. Terminal 4 is a platform used by the university.  Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 is a plus. Candidate will be updating and creating content on the artificial intelligence website for the university: ai.ufl.edu. Familiarity with web design best practices is necessary.

Candidate must be familiar with search engine optimization and be mindful of enhancing a website visitor’s user experience.

Strong understanding of social media platforms to assist with creating and publishing content to elevate awareness of AI achievements at the University of Florida.

Must be a currently enrolled UF student with good academic and conduct standing. Course schedule that allows work to be completed during normal business hours, M-F, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Expected Salary:

$18.00 per hour

Required Qualifications: • Must be a current UF student in good academic standing with a minimum 2.0 GPA.

  • Terminal 4 or WordPress knowledge
  • Problem solving
  • Creativity
  • Knowledge of ADA web standards
  • Ability to read, write and communicate professionally
  • Excellent proofreader
  • Must be able to handle tasks successfully with minimum supervision
