Florida Tutoring Advantage: In 2024, the Florida Legislature created the Florida Tutoring Advantage, Florida’s statewide tutoring program, to provide high-impact tutoring for students below grade level in reading and math. Florida law has designated the Lastinger Center as the Administrator for the program, responsible for fulfilling all the requirements of the program. The qualified candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge of the Florida and national landscape of K-12 education, preferably at both the school and school district levels; experience in management/coordination of multiple tasks and projects within a cohesive system; experience working with data and technology systems; quantitative data analysis skills; strong relational, organizational, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Conduct project meetings and communicates project status with customers, project team members, vendors and supervisors.
- Assist with the translation of business objectives into projects with clearly defined scope, timing, deliverables, resources, and key measures of success.
- Owns development of internal coordination systems, project plans, including monitoring adherence timelines and milestones.
- Identify gaps and effectively communicate project expectations to stakeholders.
- Outline provide improvement to progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
- May serve as a liaison with other programs, offices, or external vendors to accomplish program objectives.
- May supervise the work of Operations Specialists or students.
- Support the continuous development of best practices and tools for project management and execution.
Administrative and Logistical Support
- Provide administrative and logistical support for program activities.
- Process financial documents related to program activities, contracts, budgets, and reports with direction from a manager or senior professional.
- Assist in planning and implementation of program procedures, processes, services, and systems.
- Take lead with events planning, set-up, and onsite coordination.
- Locate and set up locations for professional development events, site visits, workshops, and meetings.
- Meet as needed to address relevant issues with Lastinger Teams in support of Florida Tutoring Advantage project.
- Troubleshoot challenges and address them as they arise; coordinate with other project staff providing implementation support to ensure consistency and effective communication structures.
- Execute implementation components of Project Charter within implementation project budget available: Travel, Materials, Personnel, other items necessary.
Project Feedback and Evaluation
- Participate in program development and evaluation.
- Update program databases and conduct queries for reports.
- Inform project staff and provide insight to post project assessments and evaluations.
- Support development and delivery of progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
Other Duties as Assigned
Travel: Moderate overnight travel will be required.
