| Job Description: | 
 Position Specific Responsibilities: 
- Provide intervention and consultation both on-site and over the phone for residents and Housing & Residence Life staff
 
- Serve in an after-hours crisis on-call rotation for residents that live on-campus
 
- Create trainings and education materials for staff related to mental health such as mediation, basic counseling skills, and stress management
 
- Collaborate with staff and university agencies for assessment, resolution of crisis, and providing appropriate community resources
 
- Responsible for following and implementing Housing & Residence Life incident or crisis protocols and follow-up procedures.
 
- Support the university and Housing and Residence Life by serving and participating on departmental task forces and committees

| Expected Salary: | 
 $17,000 stipend for a 12-month appointment 
 | 
| Minimum Requirements: | 
- Enrolled as a full-time University of Florida graduate student in good standing seeking their degree in counseling or related area of study
 
- Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week
 
- Successful completion of the core counseling curriculum and the first practicum are required or evidence that demonstrates similar academic and clinical experience
 
- Be available for 20-hours per week

- Training and/or course work in crisis intervention including skills and knowledge associated with mental status assessment and familiarity with crisis theory and practice
 
- Knowledge of university and community resources
 
- Demonstrated time management and leadership skills
 
- Demonstrated attention to professionalism, dependability, and timeliness
 
- Ability to work well within a team and with individuals
