Classification Title:

Education/Training Specialist II

Classification Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description:

Coordinate, conduct and document training associated with the PSA (Produce Safey Alliance) curriculum, maintaining appropriate records and staying up-to-date with the PSA and the Produce Safety Rule, guidance and produce safety research.

Develop, conduct and participate in GAPs training programs throughout the state in conjunction with food safety extension personnel.

Participate in OFRR programs in support of Florida growers.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are required for success in this position.

Assist with other Food Safety Extension programs conducted in Florida, as needed. 

Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Florida drivers' license within 3 months of the date of hire.

Expected Salary:

 $46,000 - $58,656 commensurate with education and experience

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

MS in food science with food safety training experience.  Possesses PSA Lead Training Certificate.
