Clinical Assistant Professor – Board Certified Behavior Analyst – doctorate (BCBA-D)

The Department of Psychiatry at UF College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida is seeking a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Psychology. The position is a 12 month, full-time (1.0 FTE), non-tenured track faculty position. As a member of the University of Florida College of Medicine faculty, your assignment will be to work in collaboration with the UF Health Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment to expand the BCBA services, with a particular focus on the behavioral assessment and treatment of pediatric feeding disorder. Your assignment may be changed based on the needs of the department and/or college.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position will work to expand the applied behavior analysis and treatment services for children with a severe behavior disorder specifically in the areas of behavioral assessment and treatment of severe behavior and/or pediatric feeding disorder. In addition, this position will participate in a growing research program in improving care for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders severe behavior (including pediatric feeding disorder). Furthermore, this position will serve as an important academic faculty by supporting the training of medical and psychology students, interns, residents, and fellows for individuals with unique neurodevelopmental diagnoses, severe behavior, including pediatric feeding disorder

$100,000 - 105,000

• Ph.D. with an emphasis in applied behavior analysis, board certification at the doctoral level
• Current and maintain BCBA-D certificate
• At least five years of experience in behavioral treatment for severe behavior or pediatric feeding disorders.
• Strong documentations skills

Faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida are engaged in groundbreaking projects covering a variety of interests through our Centers, labs, and collaborations with other departments. The Department of Psychiatry includes a large outpatient center with various specialty clinics within (including one associated with our Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment), a very active inpatient service, psychiatry collaborative program for primary care practitioners, school consultation program, and community consultation services. The Department of Psychiatry spans services across adult, addiction, and child/adolescent specializations, including a freestanding psychiatric hospital, a large consult liaison service at the main UF Shands Hospital, the Florida Recovery Center operated by our Addiction Division, and multiple research centers including the Center for Addiction Research & Education and the Center for OCD and Related Disorders (COARD).
