UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking a professional level Advanced Linux Infrastructure Platform Engineer to join the Infrastructure & Communication Technology team within UFIT.
Competitive candidates will be self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn with outstanding communication skills. You will lead medium to large projects and coordinate teams responsible for maintenance, installation, configuration, and deployment of enterprise-wide infrastructure and software systems.

Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:
- Linux Administration of Enterprise Applications
- PeopleSoft maintenance and administration
- Scripting and automation using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, GitLab, etc.
- Large scale Linux administration
- Assist Linux Platform Team in architecture and implementation
- Provide leadership, advice, and recommendations on enterprise systems administration and management technologies
- Mentor and cultivate fellow talented staff members

The ideal candidate will possess the following education, experience, and skills:
- Expertise in Installation, Architecture/Design, and Management of Enterprise Application Infrastructure in large-scale environments using on-premises and cloud deployments
- Proficiency with automation, scripting, and configuration management systems such as: Puppet, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, and Python
- Ability to configure load balancer appliances, policies, and virtual server load balancing
- Experience with large scale Linux System management with the ability to perform in-depth troubleshooting
- Expertise with orchestration tools such as Terraform
- Proficient with monitoring systems experience such as: Nagios, Zabbix
