The Department of Pediatrics is hiring a full-time Clinical Service Representative III position at the University of Florida Multidisciplinary Diagnostic and Training Program (UF MDTP). This position provides comprehensive programmatic support for the UF MDTP grant and for clients, ensuring efficient daily operations and high-quality compliant services to all clients.

UF MDTP is one of six regional Florida Diagnostic & Learning Resources System (FDLRS) Multidisciplinary Educational Services Centers that serve children and youth with complex learning, behavioral, and medical problems, their parents, teachers, and schools.

About this role:

• Receives and processes incoming referrals and related PHI records and maintains client referral logs and other tracking systems.
• Coordinates client appointments by scheduling evaluations and consultations, prepares and distributes appointment correspondence, maintains the MDTP appointment calendar, and prepares client charts and related documentation for appointments.
• Greets and checks in clients and families, facilitates completion of required authorizations and other paperwork as necessary to support grant deliverables.
• Provides support to clinicians following evaluations/consultations related to retention of evaluation protocols, reports, and consultation records for grant activities that occur in the clinic and offsite/in districts. This requires a firm knowledge of HIPPA and program policies/procedures for on-site and off-site work related to consents, evaluations, and report routing. 
• Routes reports, as allowed per completed PHI forms, release to parents, schools/districts, and/or other agencies and requires strict following of procedures related to documentation of all release of records.
• Shares expertise and acts as team leader; trains and mentors clinic program assistants/student workers within MDTP; instructs program assistants/student workers as needed regarding program procedures and daily tasks and makes recommendations for improvement in internal policies & procedures.  

$21.00 per hour

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Ability to drive within the north-central Florida service region, as needed for grant deliverables
