The Director of Advancement/Senior Director of Advancement leads the planning and execution of a comprehensive philanthropy and external relations program for the George A. Smathers Libraries in coordination with the Dean of University Libraries. This position reports dually to the Dean of University Libraries and the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Development.
The position leads a team of development professionals that work collaboratively with library deans, chairs, and librarians, as well as colleagues outside of the Libraries to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward philanthropic support for the Smathers Libraries initiatives and strategic priorities. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing and providing direction to the work of the advancement team in securing all private support, executing donor stewardship, development of public support groups, fundraising event coordination, and relations between the Libraries, its Library Leadership Board, and other groups of library donors, the University of Florida and the UF Advancement. The position is responsible for implementing a broad range of fundraising activities but will focus primarily on major gifts and leadership of the overall advancement program. Additionally, the position will attend strategic engagement events in support of Smathers Libraries fundraising goals. |

Business Career Services within the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida is seeking a forward-thinking, innovative, and dynamic Assistant Director, Employer Relations. The successful candidate will have related experience in building, managing, and cultivating solid working relationships with local, regional, and national companies, or possess applicable sales and marketing experience.
The Assistant Director, Employer Relations will assist the Director of Employer Relations and the Associate Director of Employer Relations in identifying, building, implementing, and maintaining productive recruiting strategies and partnerships with companies who source student talent from the Warrington College of Business. This individual will establish performance goals and metrics to evaluate the success of recruitment initiatives, with the goal of maximizing the employer experience and highlighting their return on investment.
In collaboration with the Business Career Services team of Career Coaches, this individual will play a key role in assisting students with securing internships and full-time employment in their fields of study, across multiple degree programs. The Assistant Director will collaborate with the Career Events Manager to assist in coordinating employer event marketing, employer logistics, managing employer timelines and communication, and ensuring an exceptional experience for several major career fairs and career development workshops and seminars. This includes the management of the employer event registration processes consisting of information and data collection, tracking of employer attendance, and providing timely communication to employers.
The Assistant Director will also play a role in the annual planning and analysis of the overall BCS strategy and will be an integral part of accomplishing the offices vision and mission. |
