As the Assistant Director, you will play a pivotal leadership role in advancing the Finance Professional Development (FPD) Program and related initiatives at Warrington College of Business. You will lead its key educational component- FPD Fundamentals, while providing strategic direction and supervision to a dedicated team member responsible for day-to-day operations. This position combines hands-on program leadership with high-level coordination, industry engagement, and student success initiatives to prepare future finance professionals. The goal of this position is to improve the job placements of University of Florida undergraduate students that major in finance by 1) working with students to help them identify opportunities for junior summer internships at firms expecting to extend offers to return full-time upon graduation and become prepared to interview for these internships and 2) increasing the number and quality of students that participate in the Finance Professional Development (FPD) program and corresponding FPD Tracks. The person in this position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing student-centered finance-related workshop presentations and additional activities for freshman, sophomore, junior, and transfer undergraduate students in the FPD Fundamentals, as well as facilitate academic and career guidance meetings. Instruction and activities are intended to teach students about finance roles, help them identify appropriate job fits for themselves, and insure optimum placement preparation for the students.  Reports to and assists the Director of the Finance Professional Development (FPD) Program – educational training program for undergraduate students pursuing careers in finance.  This role supervises employees and student staff, and guides industry professionals supporting FPD Tracks and FPD Academy.
