This position will work with and report to the Vice Chair and Director for Administration for the Department of Surgery, and fills a pivotal role serving on the departmental management team. This role is responsible for providing administrative oversight of all of the Department of Surgery's clinic/ambulatory operations in the department's geographical area in Northern and Central Florida. The Department of Surgery clinics currently see 60,000 outpatient/ambulatory visits per year with an annual expense budget of $6.5M. This includes managing day-to-day operations, budget management, and clinical point of service billing, personnel actions, and fiscal activities of the Surgery ambulatory clinics in support of the College of Medicine’s clinical service, education and research missions. This position requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and thorough knowledge of the policies, procedures, and operations within an academic surgical ambulatory environment. This position requires the ability to work with affiliated institutions across the Department of Surgery’s regional footprint in University of Florida Physicians’ clinics and satellite clinics in various cities in the State of Florida. Frequent travel is a requirement of this position, and a valid driver's license is required.
Supervisory experience is required, preferably within an ambulatory surgical setting. |
