| A postdoctoral associate position is available in the lab of Dr. Elizabeth Cash at the University of Florida to support a CAMTech-funded project developing RNAi-based strategies for the management of invasive and pest ants and cockroaches. This position will involve a combination of comparative genomics, molecular biology, and insect bioassays to identify and evaluate gene targets, optimize dsRNA delivery, and assess downstream effects on gene expression, survival, and behavior. Based in the Department of Environmental Engineering Sciences, the position offers opportunities for collaboration across UF, including strong ties to Entomology and Nematology, and is ideal for a highly motivated candidate interested in integrating laboratory and bioinformatic approaches in insect genomics, functional genetics, and sustainable pest management. This is a full-time, time-limited appointment with initial funding for one year, possible renewal for a second year depending on progress and funding availability, and a latest possible start date of July 1, 2026. |
