| The University of Florida Digital Worlds Institute in the College of the Arts is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to teach DIG3873, Game System Development I online for Fall 2026. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in C++ programming, including syntax, core programming logic, input/output, arithmetic operations, conditional statements, loops, functions, arrays, multi-dimensional arrays, strings, vectors, and object-oriented programming principles. They should be prepared to teach effectively in an online environment, guide students through hands-on coding demonstrations and workshops, and support student use of development tools. A passion for teaching emerging game developers and artists, helping students read, understand, modify, and expand code, and reinforcing good coding practices and software development fundamentals is essential.
The course requires the instructor of record to provide online lectures, grading, office hours, and student feedback. This remote position requires an estimated 8-12 hours/week to support this course. This time-limited appointment is from August 16, 2026, to December 31, 2026.
