The Jason Yuan Laboratory is seeking a motivated and experienced Research Technician to support high-level research in pulmonary vascular disease, ion channel electrophysiology, membrane receptors, and intracellular calcium signaling. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment across a variety of projects, gaining valuable experience and skills throughout their tenure. This individual will perform routine and non-repetitive scientific tasks under supervision, requiring strong organizational and communication skills. The Research Technician will contribute to basic laboratory operations, including researching and evaluating new products, comparing and negotiating vendor prices, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, categorizing and storing sensitive scientific materials and instruments, mentoring students, assisting with scheduling lab meetings and preparing agendas, and coordinating equipment repairs. The technician will also collaborate with the ARC to ensure protocol compliance, manage procurement of lab supplies, and maintain a well-organized and clean lab environment. The Wertheim UF Scripps Institute advances human health through biomedical research, drug discovery and clinical studies, while providing outstanding educational opportunities to inspire and train the next generation of scientists. In addition, the Skaggs Graduate School of Chemical and Biological Sciences at Scripps Research trains the next generation of scientists on our campus through its nationally recognized Ph.D. program in biomedical sciences.

This UF Regional Physician and CRNA-based practice located in Daytona Beach is a collaborative community practice that covers a level 2 trauma center, a surgery center, and a smaller non-overnight call hospital. This group is seeking to add well-qualified new CRNAs and experienced graduates to our multi-specialty focused group. Currently, each CRNA provides supervised anesthesia for a broad scope of procedures that include Neurosurgery, Interventional Stroke Care, Orthopedics, Vascular, Urology, Colorectal, Ophthalmology, General Surgery (including Bariatric Surgery), Routine Outpatient Pediatrics (over two years), Gynecology, and low to moderate volume Obstetrics supported by a Level 3 NICU. Cardiac Anesthesia is provided by a group of CV trained anesthesiologists with TEE abilities and is currently covered by a group of CRNAs who possess strong clinical skills.
