UF Research’s Contracts and Grants is accepting applications for a Grants Accountant I / II. Grant Accountants are primarily responsible for administering assigned awards. Primary functions of award administration include award set up, management, and closeout for contracts and grants in assigned portfolio. Grants Accountant I, within UF’s Contracts and Grants, is an apprentice-level professional with limited or no prior experience in research administration; learns to use professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity; works on developmental assignments that are initially routine in nature, requiring limited judgment and decision making. Under general supervision, The Grants Accountant I is responsible for award administration including award set up, management, and closeout for contracts and grants in assigned portfolio. The Grants Accountant II is an intermediate-level professional who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to manage an assigned portfolio and tasks of moderate scope and complexity. The Grants Accountant II independently performs responsibilities; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action.
