The Recruiting Coordinator acts as the primary liaison between students and employers. They manage and implement the CDO's semi-annual on-campus interview programs and build relationships with employers. They maintain the online jobs posting database and publish the office's external communications.

Duties

  • Facilitate and run recruiting programs including employer recruitment and registration, application material assembly and distribution, interview scheduling, event setup, and post-event follow-up.
  • Post and approve positions on Simplicity (job posting management system) and ensure that employer contact information is kept up to date. 
  • Seek out employment opportunities for students and alumni, including periodic mass employer outreach, communication with employers, and scouring online sources for job opportunities. 
  • Promote job and internship opportunities, networking events, and other items of interest via four weekly newsletters. 
  • Co-present information sessions to students regarding recruiting programs. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 
  • Maintain various databases with employer information and hiring practices. 
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree. Superior interpersonal, written, public speaking, and communication skills, including telephone, face-to-face, and business writing. Extremely detail- and goal-oriented. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Ability to establish work priorities. Ability to interact professionally and effectively with students, University personnel, recruiters, employers, and the public. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Strong computer skills and comfort working with online data management and applicant tracking systems. Strong PC computer skills and comfort working with online data management and applicant tracking systems.

Preferred: Degree in marketing, communications, human resources, or related field. Two years working with employers, events, marketing, and/or recruitment.

This is a Regular, Nonexempt, 40 hour per week position.

Expected Pay Range: $21.63 - $24.03 per hour 

The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. In addition to base pay, Pepperdine offers a robust and highly competitive benefits package.
