Assistant Director, Business Services Operations Malibu Campus
The Assistant Director of Business Services Operations is responsible for overseeing the administration of operations of the University’s business partners, ensuring the effectiveness of the Business Services department, and assisting with various projects within the Chief Business Officer division. Bringing excellence to all aspects of work and providing exceptional service, this position works directly with multiple areas within the Business Services department, including Dining Services, Campus Bookstores, the Villa Graziadio Executive Center, Vending Services, Licensing and Corniche Travel. Serving as a primary representative of the Business Services department, the Assistant Director of Business Services Operations employs professional and timely communication, initiative, hospitality, organization, and efficiency, and is overall responsible for the timely administration of routine processes. This position ensures seamless operations and a professional environment, conducive to excellent service and high achievement. As a member of the Chief Business Officer’s division’s central administrative team, this role supports the entire division and helps meet departmental goals and priorities, through collaboration, initiative and follow-through.This position works directly with colleagues and vendors to communicate priorities, coordinate operations, write communications and reports, collaborate and complete projects, host events, and otherwise assist as needed. Office Manager, Office of the Provost Malibu Campus
This position provides comprehensive administrative support to the Provost and serves as a backup to the executive assistant. Public Services Assistant West LA Campus
Reporting to the West Los Angeles (WLA) Campus Librarian, the Public Services Assistant oversees daytime library operations at the WLA Campus Library and provides support to libraries on other Pepperdine campuses as needed. The Public Services Assistant performs a variety of duties to assist Pepperdine students, faculty, and staff, which include checking out library materials, assisting patrons, navigating the library catalog, answering directional questions, helping patrons with printing documents, and answering basic reference questions in person and via the library’s chat reference service. Additionally, the person in this position adds assigned readings from online and WLA campus classes to the library’s e-reserves platform. This position supports the University’s mission and strategic plan of promoting academic excellence and Christian values by providing outstanding customer service and assisting students, staff, and faculty at the West Los Angeles Campus Library.
Warehouse/Service Specialist 2 Malibu Campus
The position directly supports the Pepperdine's Department of Facility Services with repair materials for the Malibu Campus. The position manages and distributes inventory and maintenance materials to ensure timely maintenance and repairs of campus facilities and equipment. Assist Central Receiving with the processing of parcels and freight; maintain accurate records of inventory received and issued; perform other related duties as assigned. Operate Warehouse Forklift and Material Handling equipment in the performance of duties.
Landscape Equipment Mechanic Malibu Campus
Under the direction of the Manager, Landscape and Irrigation Services in the Department of Facilities Services (DFS), maintain, diagnose, and repair outdoor power equipment to include; commercial mowers, landscape equipment, two and four cycle engines, hydraulic systems, electrical troubleshooting, and repair. Perform all aspects of University equipment use, maintenance and repair for the Landscape and Irrigation Services division to ensure an aesthetically pleasing, safe, and clean University environment. Collaborate with DFS and other University departments to complete assignments in high quality and timely manner.
Maintenance Technician Malibu Campus
Under direction of the Manager of Real Estate Operations (REO), and in collaboration with the Director of Real Estate Operations, perform various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance of residences and buildings throughout on- and off-campus residential facilities during the day shift during days of the week from 8:00 am to 5:00pm. Shall perform work at a skilled level in several trades including carpentry, painting, plumbing, minor electrical, and mechanical, and do related work as required. Collaborate with REO and other University departments to deliver high-quality work and customer service in a timely manner.
