About Us: Join our Team!
The Information Technology (IT) department is an inclusive group committed to ensuring all students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other campus partners have a safe, productive, enjoyable, and meaningful experience with college technology. We provide creative solutions, responsive services, and reliable, secure access to an enabling infrastructure. The IT team is an encouraging environment where we grow, learn, and pursue our craft. We are helpful, kind, friendly, and respectful of all. We enjoy a sense of humor--something we find essential to our success. We make our work fun whenever possible! Professional development and diversity are also valued here: we continually learn new skills, grow in our understanding of the world around us, and explore new technologies.
About the Position: Do Work that Matters!
As the Technology Procurement Manager, you will be the primary architect of our IT supply chain, strategically sourcing and acquiring everything from enterprise software and networking infrastructure to high-end AV and security systems. You will lead the full procurement lifecycle—conducting market research to identify optimal technical solutions, performing due diligence on new vendors, and fostering high-accountability relationships with established partners. Your role is vital in ensuring that all departmental acquisitions not only meet the rigorous technical needs of the campus but also adhere to institutional policies and ethical standards, all while managing the physical lifecycle of assets from initial delivery and inventory tagging to sustainable disposal.
Parallel to your procurement expertise, you will serve as the financial steward for the IT department, ensuring absolute accountability for all technical expenditures. You will be a part of managing complex contract portfolios and responsible for itemized payment processing for computing and telecommunications services, ensuring every transaction is accurate and compliant. By collaborating closely with accounting staff, you will develop sophisticated financial forecasts and budget reports that drive strategic planning. Your ability to analyze budget variances and identify financial risks will be essential in optimizing our resources and providing leadership with the data-driven insights needed to support our long-term technological vision.
IT team members are encouraged and expected to develop and grow their skills to match the needs of the institution, and to help others grow, too. Recognizing that technology is continually changing, the Technology Procurement Manager participates in regular professional development and in the larger professional community as well.
