Key Responsibilities

Engineering Planning

• Equipment Concept Reports: Develop reports on medical equipment and furniture systems.
• Room & Equipment Data Sheets: Generate data sheets for major medical equipment.
• Project Documents: Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ), room schedules, and budget estimates.
• Tender Review: Ensure Hospital Authority tender information aligns with equipment requirements.
• Installation Scheduling: Coordinate equipment installation timelines with the contractor's schedule.
• Site Visits: Weekly visits to ensure installations follow the program.
• Equipment Analysis: Evaluate existing equipment for potential reuse.

Supervision

• Project Oversight: Ensure that contractors' programs align with equipment delivery and installation.
• On-Site Supervision: Manage the delivery, storage, installation, testing, and handover of medical equipment.
• Documentation Review: Maintain and safeguard project documentation, including architectural plans and vendor shop drawings.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Drawing Review & Supervision: Ensure compliance of installation requirements with shop drawings.
• Staff Training: Oversee training of staff on new medical equipment.
• Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between the contractor and equipment vendor.
• Installation Management: Monitor and manage the equipment installation process, ensuring compliance with schedules, delivery protocols, and site cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field; EDAC Certification is beneficial.
• Over 10 years of experience in healthcare technology and management.
• Expertise in analyzing architectural drawings and space programs.
• Ability to review equipment supplier shop drawings and suggest cost-effective solutions.
• Knowledge of relevant standards (NFPA, ASHRAE, FGI, etc.).
• Familiarity with PC/Mac software, networking, and healthcare information systems.
