Job Duties
- Drive transformative innovation by identifying, developing, and deploying cutting-edge digital engineering solutions that enhance project delivery across the AEC industry.
- Establish and lead a high-performing Community of Excellence to foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning across OneDCS Malaysia and the Asia Pacific network.
- Champion the development of digital engineering products and frameworks that comply with ISO 19650 and BS1192 standards, supporting both tendering and execution phases.
- Contribute to strategic planning and investment decisions to build a future-ready, agile, and high-performing digital engineering function aligned with CIMIC and Leighton Asia’s global operations.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Survey, Planning, Operations, Safety, and Quality teams to co-create innovative workflows and digital products that improve efficiency, safety, and quality.
- Lead or support strategic research and development initiatives within the OneDCS network to ensure the digital engineering service offering remains relevant and ahead of industry trends.
- Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by empowering teams to experiment with and implement new technologies and processes.
- Apply strong business acumen to understand the role of digital construction in commercial success and risk management, and build teams that contribute positively to organizational performance.
Job Requirements
🔹 Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Certifications in BIM, Digital Engineering, ISO 19650, or BS1192 (preferred).
🔹 Experience
- 8-10 years in the construction industry, ideally with both consulting and contracting experience.
- 5+ years in a management role, leading digital engineering or construction technology initiatives.
- Proven experience in design management and understanding of construction delivery.
🔹 Technical Expertise
- Strong proficiency in key Digital Engineering systems and BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D).
- Ability to integrate and support multiple digital systems across project functions.
- Skilled in managing digital project information across all disciplines and phases.
🔹 Leadership & Strategy
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and risk management skills.
- Ability to drive compliance, governance, and alignment with industry standards.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of driving business excellence and continuous improvement.
🔹 Communication & Influence
- Strong public speaking, networking, and training capabilities.
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
