Job Duties

• Prepare pricing reports
• Plan and coordinate all phases of estimating to competitive bid preparation
• Work with procurement to ensure competitive prices for quality products
• Input Book of Quantities (BoQ) into the current estimation program
• Prepare quantity take-off, conduct cost analysis and formulate pricing of labour, materials and equipment cost breakdown
• Perform valuations with respect to the potential financial impact of key risks/opportunities
• Adjust project costs to reflect the same for tendering
• Evaluate subcontractors proposals and recommend acceptance or otherwise
• Review contract documents
• Carry out site measurement and subcontracting work
• Identify potential pricing risks, currency exchange risks, program risks
• Coordinate with suppliers and assist in the maintenance of company systems
• Maintain subcontractors register and appointment of subcontractors documentation
• Maintain accurate information by validating pricing information

 Job Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or building or civil engineering
• Has more than 5 years working experience with major contractors
• Has design and construct work experience
• Experience dealing with suppliers and subcontractors on commercial and technical matters
