We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Procurement Officer to join our team. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will assist in the procurement of plant, materials, and equipment to achieve favourable supply terms, ensure timely delivery, and maintain compliance with project specifications. Additionally, you will assist in day-to-day administrative tasks by preparing and entering financial and management accounting data.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate procurement of permanent and temporary materials from reputable suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure all purchase requisitions are issued, cost coded, allocated to budget items, and approved in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain supplier databases and input required material details as per project specifications.
- Prepare weekly and monthly procurement reports and carry out inventory control in collaboration with the Storeman.
- Input invoices and bills into the accounting system accurately and on time.
- Maintain proper filing systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (tax, audit, etc.).
- Follow all safety, health, and environmental protocols, including participation in site safety training.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain / Logistics, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, preferably in the construction or engineering sector.
- Basic knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor procurement processes.
- Familiarity with purchase orders, tendering, and vendor documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong data entry skills.
- Familiarity with the local market is an advantage.
- Fluency in both Thai and English.
