Job Duties
Operational Planning:
• Review mechanical drawings, coordinated BIM/shop drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Prepare method statements, ITPs, risk assessments, JHA, and commissioning documentation for mechanical systems
• Coordinate procurement, delivery, and installation scheduling of critical mechanical equipment
• Coordinate with electrical, CSA, and other trades to ensure smooth construction sequencing and avoidance of clashes
• Assist in planning flushing, pressure testing, TAB, and commissioning activities in accordance with project milestones
• Support FAT, SAT, integrated systems testing (IST), and commissioning activities
Onsite work Execution:
• Supervise installation works for critical mechanical systems to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications
• Monitor progress against construction milestones and mitigation plans
• Coordinate subcontractor manpower, daily activities, and work fronts
• Inspect workmanship and ensure compliance with QA/QC standards and client requirements
• Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, and authorities
• Participate in testing, flushing, pressure testing, TAB, commissioning, and integrated systems testing activities
• Support troubleshooting and rectification during commissioning stages
Job Requirements
Qualification:
• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, CRAH/CRAC systems, fuel systems, fire protection systems, and mechanical building services
• Familiarity with Data Centre cooling infrastructure and critical environment requirements
• Knowledge of testing & commissioning procedures for mission critical facilities
Preferred Experience:
• 8–10 years of experience in mechanical construction and site operations
• Experience in hyperscale or co-location Data Centre projects preferred
• Exposure to MEP coordination, testing & commissioning, and fast-track construction projects
• Understanding of local authority requirements, HSE regulations, and QA/QC procedures
