    Over the years, from conceptual design to detailed construction drawings to construction supervision, we have delivered and completed structural and infrastructural solutions for projects up to a value of USD200mil. Maverick United provides elegant structural solutions for buildings through globally connected world-leading engineering professionals.

    From our bases in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia we have been delivering structural, infrastructural and value engineering designs for building projects located in Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia and the United Kingdom.

    We invite high-calibre candidates to fill the Inspector of Work (IOW) position in Malaysia and be based at Maverick United Consulting Engineers, Johor Bharu.

    Job Duties

    • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure Civil & Structural (C&S) works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
    • Monitor contractors' workmanship, materials, and construction activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project requirements.
    • Coordinate and review architectural, structural, and M&E drawings, highlighting and resolving any discrepancies with relevant stakeholders.
    • Attend site and coordination meetings with clients, contractors, and consultants, providing technical support and project updates.
    • Prepare daily progress reports, quality inspection records, and defect reports, while monitoring rectification works to ensure timely completion.

    Job Requirements

    • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering and registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
    • Possess a valid Inspector of Works (IOW) Certificate and at least 2 to 5 years of hands-on site supervision experience.
    • Strong knowledge of Civil & Structural engineering practices, including British Standards, Eurocodes, and local authority requirements.
    • Ability to prepare technical correspondence, site reports, and defect reports, with strong analytical and coordination skills.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
