What You’ll Do:

• Shape the Future of Consumer Finance: Collaborate with colleagues and external advisers to design and deliver cutting-edge consumer credit products.
• Drive Regulatory Compliance: Provide pragmatic advice on financial services regulation, ensuring our products meet all legal requirements while delivering great customer outcomes.
• Build Key Relationships: Work closely with external counsel and internal teams across the business, including Senior Executives, to manage risks and deliver optimum project results.
• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Monitor legal and regulatory developments to anticipate challenges and drive necessary changes to keep NewDay at the forefront of the industry.
• Promote Compliance Culture: Foster a culture of compliance across NewDay, ensuring our strong regulatory standards are met while supporting business innovation.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified solicitor or barrister with solid experience in regulatory law within private practice or the financial services sector.
• Knowledge of consumer finance laws and regulations, particularly consumer credit and payment services (preferred).
• A problem-solver with a can-do attitude, keen to innovate and anticipate challenges.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels, including Senior Executives.
• A detail-oriented individual with a big-picture mindset and the ability to work autonomously while remaining a collaborative team player.
