The Academic Services Coordinator will complete assessments, academic planning, and monitor the academic progress of high school participants in the Upward Bound program. The Academic Services Coordinator will travel weekly to four target area high schools to complete advising sessions and maintain complete, accurate audit ready documentation of all services, and confidential participants’ records. The Academic Services Coordinator will also develop evening and/or Saturday activities for the participants in the program and coordinate and monitor summer program core curriculum, summer staff (i.e. faculty, instructors, graduate students, mentors), and student mentor opportunities.

The Department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University seeks applications for a 12-month, tenure-track or tenured Associate Professor/ Full Professor Faculty position with a primary emphasis in basic, mechanistic research on emerging and/or zoonotic bacterial or viral pathogens. This position will also serve as the Associate Director of an NIH COBRE Center (Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases; The expected start date for this position is as early as January 2023. The successful applicant must have extensive experience leading a productive research program as demonstrated by: (i) longstanding support from NIAID, NIGMS or similar funding programs; (ii) a robust record of training graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and junior faculty; and (iii) high-impact peer-reviewed publications. Preference will be given to applicants that utilize animal models in their research and that focus on emerging and/or zoonotic infectious diseases. The distribution of effort for this position is approximately 60-70 % research, 10-20% administration, 5-10 % graduate teaching, and 5-10 % non-directed service. Clinical Assistant Professor - Toxicology Manhattan, Kansas
The Department of Anatomy and Physiology (A&P) in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invites applications for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Veterinary Toxicology. This is a clinical track, full-time, 12-month position with rank and salary commensurate with qualifications. The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for teaching veterinary toxicology courses to professional veterinary and graduate students. Veterinary toxicology is a required course consisting of three hours in the junior year of the professional curriculum. The candidate will also function as a diagnostic veterinary toxicologist in a team with other animal disease specialists in the Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (KSVDL). A variety of state-of-the-art instrumentation including LCMS, GCMS, ICP-MS, IC and HPLC are available in the Department to assist with identification and quantitation of pesticides, dietary mineral and vitamin issues, animal drinking water issues, poisonous plants, nitrate, and cyanide toxicosis and pharmaceutical compound toxicosis. Primary diagnostic duties involve working up cases of suspected intoxication in domestic animals. In addition, the successful applicant will establish and/or maintain extramurally funded and/or collaborative research programs and collaborate with a vibrant community of basic and clinical researchers in veterinary sciences and other biomedical programs.

The Director of Enrollment Marketing and Communications will be responsible for strategic development and execution of marketing and communication to support the university's undergraduate enrollment and recruitment goals. The position will primarily support The Office of Enrollment Management (OEM) at Kansas State University. OEM is comprised of the offices of financial assistance, registrar, and undergraduate recruitment and admissions, together with central administrative resources that support data analytics, budget, human resources, and technology. The Cottonwood Extension District is comprised of Barton and Ellis Counties. The district has a combined population of 54,332. This part of the state is noted for its oil production, as well as manufacturing and diversified farming and livestock operations. The district is home to Fort Hays State University and Barton Community College. District-wide, the 4-H Youth Development program involves 300 community club members in 18 clubs and 3,500 youth in nontraditional programs. Seven agents and several support staff serve the district. This position will provide leadership to the 4-H Youth Development program in the Hays office. Extension agents are professional educators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas. Agents are jointly responsible to the director of K-State Research and Extension (represented by a designated administrator) and the local extension board. This position will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive 4-H youth development program for school-aged youth in cooperation with local community members and extension colleagues. The primary focus of this position is youth development; along with adult volunteer development; youth education program development; community partnership expansion; and membership growth and participation. Programming will include but is not limited to: community club support, out-of-school programs, school enrichment, volunteer management, and outreach to create program opportunities with new and existing community partners.
