The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is seeking a Post Award Coordinator and Grant Compliance Officer for the Office of Research and Grants. Under the supervision of the Assistant Provost for Research, this individual will work collaboratively with Pre-Award staff, Principal Investigators, Finance, and Human Resources for the purpose of administering extramural funding while assuring compliance with college policies and sponsor regulations. Specific job duties are as follows:
- Provide post-award management of external grants including the review of award documents, coordination with Finance for grant accounting, and guidance for Principal Investigators in the administration of the award.
- Provide oversight to ensure that grants are administered in compliance with requirements of the grantor and the institution including the review of budgets to ensure compliance with purchasing regulations. Provide audit support and assist in the development of policies and procedures that affect grant administration.
- Manage subrecipient monitoring activities, including collection of documents, the development of analyses and reports, and assist Finance with FFATA reporting to ensure compliance with funding agency requirements.
- Assist Principal Investigators and Finance in interpreting college policies and funding agency requirements to ensure compliance.
- Organize and maintain electronic grant files.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of award amendments and no cost extensions.
- Assist Finance in providing information required for financial reports.
- Create, address, and process correspondence of moderate to high complexity with granting agencies.
- Provide formal and informal grant-related training to faculty and staff.
- Work collaboratively with Finance to manage the timely closeout of awards.
- Assist in the implementation and management of Cayuse software for research administration.
- Proven ability to work with diverse constituents on and off campus.
- Proven skills in relationship building and ability to work collaboratively across units.
Minimum Qualifications:
The minimum requirements are a Bachelor's degree with previous grant administration and compliance experience. Ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with exceptional customer service skills. Ability to work independently with a high degree of reliability, accuracy, and consistency to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with varying degrees of pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Uniform Guidance and Federal Agency guidelines. Experience with Cayuse.
