Position Overview:

The Citadel is seeking a dynamic and experienced Professor of Practice in Intelligence to join our esteemed faculty. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of practical experience in intelligence, national security, or related fields, along with a strong commitment to student development and interdisciplinary collaboration.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in intelligence, national security, and related fields.
  • Develop innovative curriculum and instructional materials that integrate real-world intelligence practices.
  • Engage in mentorship and advisement of students, fostering their academic and professional growth.
  • Conduct research and publish in relevant fields, contributing to the body of knowledge in intelligence studies.
  • Collaborate with other departments and institutions to enhance interdisciplinary learning and research opportunities.
  • Participate in service activities within the college and the broader academic and professional community.

 

Qualifications:

  • A master's degree or higher in Intelligence Studies, National Security, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Substantial professional experience in intelligence or national security, preferably in government, military, or relevant industry roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • A commitment to the mission and values of The Citadel, including leadership, ethics, and character development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level is highly desirable.
