The Role
We are seeking a commercially astute Finance & Business Performance Manager to partner with operational leaders and deliver financial integrity, insight, and performance across a key account.
This is not a back-office finance role. You will be embedded in the business, translating data into actionable insights, influencing decision-making, and driving profitability across multiple sites.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Lead end-to-end financial reporting including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Deliver accurate, timely monthly reporting and executive insights
- Provide clear variance analysis and performance commentary
- Maintain strong financial controls and audit readiness
Commercial & Performance Insight
- Analyse contract performance, margins, labour utilisation, and cost drivers
- Identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve profitability
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting frameworks
- Support pricing, tenders, and commercial decision-making
Planning & Forecasting
- Lead budgeting and rolling forecast cycles
- Partner with operational leaders to drive accountability and accuracy
- Build financial models to support strategic planning and contract renewals
Operational Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to operational and site-based leaders
- Translate financial data into practical, operational actions
- Challenge and influence cost control, productivity, and performance outcomes
- Build financial capability across non-financial stakeholders
Governance & Risk
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and contract obligations
- Identify and mitigate financial and commercial risks
- Support audit processes and maintain robust internal controls
About You
You are a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in operational environments and enjoys influencing outcomes.
You will bring:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- CA / CPA / CIMA (or working towards)
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems
- Ability to engage, challenge, and influence non-financial stakeholders
- A desire to travel to site to understand our operations and our perople
Highly regarded:
- Experience in resources, facilities management, or contract-based environments
- Exposure to multi-site or remote operations
- Experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
