Job description:
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) - Infusion Liaison:
• Provides leadership and direction to improve the quality and continuity of care and support provided to patients referred to the Infusion service, Launceston General Hospital (LGH).
• Provides a pivotal point of contact for the continuity of care for this patient cohort across a wide specialty referral group.
• In conjunction with the multidisciplinary health care team ensures optimal patient access and effective utilisation of human and material resources, for the Infusion Service at LGH.
• Works autonomously within this specialty role and develops pathways to service, clinical protocols, and guidelines to ensure best practice.
• Has highly developed knowledge, skills, and expertise with advanced competence in the provision of evidence-based nursing in all areas across the infusion service.
