Job description:

The Senior Business Analyst assists the Manager Budget Development and Advice in the review and monitoring of the Department of Health ‘s performance in relation to budgetary and financial targets.

The Role:

The Senior Business Analyst assists the Manager Budget Development and Advice in the review and monitoring of the Department of Health ‘s performance in relation to budgetary and financial targets including:

  • The coordination, review and analysis of information as part of the annual Budget development process including liaison with a wide range of employees throughout the Department;
  • The review and ongoing maintenance and management of budget management/financial systems and data; and
  • The coordination and preparation of regular and ad-hoc reports, correspondence and advice to senior management and liaison with a wide range of stakeholders.

The Budget Development and Advice Team:

  • We are a finance team with an accounting focus.
  • The specific focus of the work is on Departmental budget development, budget management and financial management reporting.
  • The team works on a wide variety of budget-related tasks, including involvement in the annual State Budget development process.

Details of Appointment - Multiple positions available

Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $104,756 - $118,730 per annum + 11% superannuation

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications, together with membership of, or progression towards, either CPA Australia or the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand
