Job description:

Provide a high standard of meal service to hospital patients and patrons of the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) Cafeteria.

The role:

  • Provide a high standard of meal service to hospital patients and patrons of the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) Cafeteria.

The team:

  • Able work as a part of a team but also as an individual 
  • Able to work in a busy environment safely and with focus on patients & customer needs at all times 
  • Working knowledge for food safety preferable 
  • Point of sale & eftpos experience preferable
  • espresso coffee making experience preferable   

Details of Appointment

Permanent, part time, shift-worker (fully rotational) position working 36 hours per fortnight.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $55,466 to $57,712 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility:

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  3. serious drug offences
  4. crimes involving dishonesty
  1. Identification check
  2. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
