Job description:

We are seeking a permanent Utility Officer to support our consumers in providing personal laundry services to all areas of Roy Fagan Centre.

The Role:

We are seeking a permanent Utility Officer to support our consumers in providing personal laundry services to all areas of Roy Fagan Centre. Join us at Roy Fagan Centre, Older Persons Mental Health Service (OPMHS), a specialised sub-acute facility, located a short drive from the centre of Hobart.

You will need:

  1. Previous laundry and linen service experience.
  2. Awareness of, and familiarity with, equipment currently in use within the commercial linen and laundry industry.
  3. A basic knowledge of laundry related procedures and solutions.
  4. Understanding of safe manual handling techniques.
  5. Ability to work effectively individually or in a team environment and to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, shift worker position, working up to 34 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $55,466 - $57,712 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Allowances: 

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
