Job description:

The Department of Health are seeking a motivated Project Support Officer to join their Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Reform team located in Hobart.

The role:

Working as part of a team to implement the CAMHS Reform and broader project initiatives, the Project Support Officer will:

  • Participate in the planning, development, implementation and review of frameworks, systems, and processes that provide key reform program deliverables, which are to be achieved by the identified target dates.
  • Participate in various meetings and be a positive role model and advocate for reform.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with the project team to undertake functions associated with the broader CAMHS Reform Program.

The CYMHS Reform Team: 

  • The CYMHS Reform Team provides statewide coordination and support for the planning and delivery for the CYMHS Reform Program
  • The CYMHS Reform Team is comprised of a Program Manager, three Senior Project Officers, and two Project Support Officers based in Hobart but with the option for location in other regions based on negotiation.
  • The CYMHS Reform team works closely together while identifying areas of primary focus for each team member.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2025.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed term full time, part time and casual vacancies.

Salary: $95,393 - $100,067 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

  1. Current Working with Children Registration

*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

  1. Relevant experience working in a human services environment or similar
  2. Relevant project management experience
  3. Experience and/or knowledge undertaking human resource activities
