This important role will see you predominantly working within the allied health team and collaborating closely with the plastic and orthopaedic teams. You will be looked toward to provide expertise in this complex area of therapy, guiding treatment plans and ensuring optimal care for our patients, so that they have the best opportunity to recover function and return to the lives they value. Details of Appointment: Permanent, full-time, day time position, working 76 hours per fortnight commencing from 4 February 2025

Salary: $106,966 - $123,013 per annum + 11.5% superannuation 

Salary Packaging: Access to a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year

Relocation Assistance: Reimbursement for up to $5,000 of expenses incurred through relocating

Professional Development: $1,000 per annum entitlement for professional development course fees (daily wage, flights, accommodation, daily allowance paid in addition to this)

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
  2. Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia

or

  1. Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Board of Australia
  2. Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia

*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. Certification of Hand Therapy (CHT) qualification or equivalent post graduate qualification
  2. Eligible, or working towards eligibility, for membership of the Australian Hand Therapy Association
  3. Current Driver’s Licence

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  • sex related offences
  • serious drug offences
  • crimes involving dishonesty
