Senior Speech Pathologist Inpatient Rehabilitation & Subacute (permanent)

Tasmanian Health Service, South

While you can be a Speech Pathologist anywhere, choosing Tasmania means stepping into a unique and welcoming community where a vibrant lifestyle and fulfilling work environment go hand in hand. Here, you'll join a supportive team that’s not just invested in your professional success but also in your personal growth. We value your individuality and are committed to helping you thrive in your career.

We’re excited to invite an experienced Senior Speech Pathologist with a passion for rehabilitation to join our multi-disciplinary team on the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) in Hobart. In this role, you’ll provide essential services to inpatients on the ARU, as well as to other subacute inpatient services as needed, positively impacting the lives of our patients.

Your expertise in Videofluoroscopic Swallow Study (VFSS) will be highly regarded, and we’ll support your continued professional development with opportunities to expand your skillset, including potential training in Fibre-optic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES). Our commitment to learning and growth means you’ll be empowered to enhance your capabilities in a nurturing environment.

But life in Tasmania isn’t just about work. Southern Tasmania offers stunning coastlines, lush national parks, and a thriving food and arts scene—all without the hassle of long commutes. After work, you can unwind with a hike in pristine wilderness, catch some waves, or savour the delights of our award-winning restaurants. We believe in a balanced lifestyle where you can live and work in harmony, surrounded by the natural beauty and vibrant community spirit that makes Tasmania so special.

As a leader in our team, you’ll also have the opportunity to shape the future of our profession, mentoring junior staff and supporting the development of Speech Pathology students who are studying at the University of Tasmania.

If you’re ready to embrace a fulfilling career in a truly exceptional place, we’d love to hear from you. Join us in Tasmania, and be part of something extraordinary!
