Job description:

Department of Health are seeking interest for a permanent part time Ward Clerk to join the Hospitals & Primary Care team at Royal Hobart Hospital.

The Role:

  • Provide frontline assistance to support the effective administrative operations of the Ward/Unit
  • Support the relevant Manager by receiving and processing direct admissions and discharges from the Ward/Unit
  • Accurately enter and retrieve patient information onto/from computerised patient information management information systems including the Digital Medical Record (DMR).
  • Generate reports and update and maintain databases and bed lists utilising relevant software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Express

Details of appointment:

Permanent part time shift worker position, working 56 hours per fortnight, 7 days alternate weeks, commencing as soon as possible.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $64,125 to $68,925 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
