The Role:
- The Enrolled Nurse provides direct patient/client centred nursing care to assigned patients/clients, within the scope of practice of an enrolled nurse and under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse/midwife to achieve planned patient outcomes.

Set near a picturesque Tasmanian coastline, the North West Regional Hospital, Burnie is a 160-bed facility and is the principal referral centre for the North West Tasmanian community and provides general medicine, surgical (including orthopaedic), intensive care, cancer services, paediatric services, outpatient clinics and specialist services. The NWRH Theatre is a vibrant, supportive team consisting of four operating theatres providing Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, General Surgery, ENT, Endoscopy and dental services. NWRH Theatre is committed to a positive workplace culture, and excellent clinical care within a supportive environment. Standard working hours are a variety of shifts between the hours of 0700 and 2230 seven days a week, with the ability to offer flexible working arrangements, and on call service overnight. There is also a supportive, dedicated leadership and education team to support all learning and development needs.
Details of Appointment
Fixed term, full time, shift-worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 1 June 2025.

Salary: $68,913 - $75,902 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (holds a Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines)
