The Role:
The Data Analyst will provide support to the Manager Health Information on critical issues impacting on the operation of Activity Based Funding (ABF) in the State Health System. Provide specialist advice to assist other unit priorities as required, including data-related working groups.
- Provide data analysis to the Deputy Secretary System Management and Reform (SMR), including the provision and management of relevant, high-quality hospital and health activity and casemix information.
- Support a range of activities relating to the implementation of an Activity Based Funding (ABF) model across hospital and health services covering areas including financial and information management.
- Work extensively with the Manager - Health Information and senior SMR managers to promote and support the effective use of data through development of data analysis and reporting services that reflect the business needs of the Deputy Secretary SMR and the Department for hospital and health services.

The Team:
- Responsible for collecting, processing, analysing and disseminating information on the health of Tasmanians and their use of health services.
- Responsible for interpreting policies, regulations and guidelines to manage the development and delivery of reporting outcomes in line with current and future business needs
- Responsibility for the national statutory activity reporting (National Minimum Data Sets/Best Endeavours Data Sets - Activity Based Funding (ABF) and Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) reporting.

Details of Appointment
Permanent full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $104,756 - $118,730 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
