To be Tasmanian is to value quality over quantity. We create, preserve, and protect the unusual. With quiet confidence, with passion and perseverance, we pursue the extraordinary. Could you be Tasmanian?
You’ve specialised in the complex field of lymphoedema. And these skills are in high demand everywhere. What’s different about Tasmania though, is our culture and our lifestyle. Here you will be encouraged to be yourself, to grow and to maximise the meaning in your work. You will have a powerful connection to your patients, your team, and the community will encourage your success. Our isolation helps drive a culture of creation and human connection, which feels both old fashioned and… like the only future worth pursuing.
Here you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to breath-taking coastlines, National Parks, and incredible fresh produce crafted by locals. After a hard day at work, you don’t sit in traffic for an hour. You decompress with a wander through our beautiful city, you put on your boots and tell it to a mountain, within minutes.
We offer an exciting and rewarding place to work, featuring contemporary, evidence-informed practice that sees our staff closely linked to the broader multidisciplinary team. We are a team comprised of a mix of passionate locals and new Tasmanian adventurers who will welcome your energy and experiences into the group dynamic.
This important role will see you predominantly working within the allied health team and collaborating closely with a range of speciality teams. You will be looked toward to provide expertise in this complex area of therapy, guiding treatment plan, prescribing lymphoedema garments and ensuring optimal care for our patients, so that they have the best opportunity to recover function and return to the lives they value. And we’ll be committed to seeing you thrive. We’ll look after you from the very beginning, ensuring you are fully welcomed into our team. With so many new Tasmanians in our team, we have an actively social culture outside of work, and this helps to drive collaboration within our services. As an Allied Health group, we are dedicated to the development of our people and will work to help you to achieve your goals. Elsa, one of our Specialist Therapists – Lymphoedema would be most happy to hear from you to answer questions about her journey to Tasmania, and how she finds working in the health service and allied health team: elsa.gales@ths.tas.gov.au
