The Role:
Lead, supervise, and integrate a high quality dental undergraduate and recent graduate education and development stream within Oral Health Services Tasmania (OHST).
Liaise and negotiate with Universities and educational providers whose students are undertaking placement with OHST.
Work with external stakeholders in both health and educational sectors to increase the integration of oral health into general health.

The Team:
Oral Health Services Tasmania (OHST) is the public oral health care provider in Tasmania and operates as a statewide service. All Tasmanian children aged 0 to 17 years and all Tasmanian adults holding a Health Care Card or Pension Concession Card are eligible for care from OHST.
OHST operates a clinical placement program for dentistry undergraduate students and a graduate program to support newly qualified dental clinicians. OHST is at the forefront of dental education and continues to develop a well-regarded state-wide educational placement program for undergraduate and newly qualified dental professionals.
OHST encourages and supports engagement and multi sector partnerships with other health and education professionals, communities and people in ways that will improve oral and general health outcomes within Tasmania.
Details of appointment:
Fixed term full time, day worker, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 16 December 2024 until 18 September 2025.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $198,631 to $210,461 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Dental Officers Agreement 2022.
