The Role:
Food Services Assistant requires:
- Knowledge of food hygiene practices and their importance in the Food Services Industry.
- Demonstrated understanding of workplace safety.
- Demonstrated understanding of personal cleanliness and hygiene and its importance in the Food Services Industry.
- Ability to understand both written and verbal instructions and to effectively communicate with patients, staff and the public and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.

The Team
- Fast paced work environment working in great team.
- LGH food services, providing meals to over 300 patients daily including breakfast, lunch and dinner, 365 days a year.
- Shift work with early morning starts working a combination of weekend and weekdays

Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, shift worker position, 72 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $55,466 to $57,712 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award
Allowances:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
