Job description:

Exciting opportunity for a Technical Consultant to join the Department of Health!

The Team:

Join a dynamic project team within Health ICT dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that enhance healthcare technology.

Our team is focused on implementing a Rapid Access Sign-On (Imprivata) solution to streamline and secure system access for the agency, improving efficiency and user experience.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator who has:

  • Expertise in managing and supporting Microsoft 365 technologies, with a focus on Microsoft Exchange and related services.
  • A strong background in managing Windows-based end devices, standard operating environments (SOE), Active Directory, and Group Policy is essential.
  • Experience in application or web development and working with Citrix environments will be considered advantageous but not required.

You will need:

  1. Proven record of achievement in delivering innovative technology solutions, services and/or expert technical support within a complex work environment.
  2. 'Can-do approach’ demonstrated by successful track record of working harmoniously and collaborating with technical specialists and non-specialists to foster a productive work ethic and positive workplace culture.
  3. Conceptual and problem-solving skills demonstrated through a successful record in delivering technical solutions within a diverse and fast-paced environment subject to change.
  4. Well-developed communication, negotiation, and expectation management skills, including proven ability to articulate complex issues to non-technical stakeholders such as senior executives and customers.
  5. Keen self-awareness with a proven capacity to effectively model agile, flexible, and innovative work practices to achieve results.

Details of appointment:

Multiple fixed term full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately twelve (12) months. 

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $107,899 to $122,292 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
