Job description:

The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking a Chief Radiation Therapist/Manager to lead the dedicated team at the WP Holman Clinic, Hobart. The Chief Radiation Therapist/Manager provides high level leadership and effective management of the radiation therapy staff and clinical services in the department.  In this role you will oversee daily operations, resource management and quality assurance processes to foster a person-centred approach. Your expertise will be central in designing and implementing services that directly impact treatment outcomes and patient satisfaction.  As a key member of the WP Holman Clinic leadership team, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of the service.

The Role:

The Team:

The WP Holman Clinic provides radiation therapy services to Southern Tasmanian patients and specialist cranial stereotactic radiation therapy for patients across Tasmania. The centre has Varian Truebeam linear accelerators, a Canon CT simulator, Eclipse planning system, Gulmay Superficial unit and ARIA oncology information system. The multidisciplinary team includes radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, medical physicists, nursing, administrative and allied health staff.

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker (with on-call), working up to 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible. 

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $169,240 to $179,116 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance with Radiation Therapist Level 5

Allowances:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • A market allowance of 10% is approved until 30 June 2025, this allowance will be reviewed prior to expiry.

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Registered with Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.

*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
