The Team
The Podiatry team delivers high‑quality inpatient, outpatient and community‑based podiatry services across Southern Tasmania. The team works closely with multidisciplinary health professionals to support people living with complex and chronic health conditions, with a strong focus on high‑risk foot care, prevention, and patient‑centred outcomes.
Services are delivered across outpatient clinics and community health centres, in partnership with hospitals and local services to improve access to care and support people to live well in their own communities. This is a team where the work is genuinely meaningful — clinicians see the direct impact of their care on patients’ mobility, independence, and quality of life.
With a strong focus on collaboration, quality improvement, and professional development, the team fosters a supportive learning culture where clinicians are encouraged to grow their skills, contribute ideas, and build rewarding, long‑term careers in public health. New graduates or early career podiatrists are fully supported within the Allied Health graduate program with additional growth and development opportunities for those looking to increase their skills and capabilities mid-career. Ongoing professional development is actively supported, including opportunities to work toward Endorsement for Scheduled Medicines registration.
